افتراضي Edo State PDP disregard fake document in circulation

EDO State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised the people of the State to disregard a document currently in circulation in the State insinuating that the party’s governorship candidate, Major General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) has entered into an agreement with Chief Anthony Anenih to the effect that he would be giving him, (Anenih) the sum of N500billion monthly if elected into office.

A statement by the party signed by Mr. Matthew Urhoghinde described the statement as being very funny and ludicrous, saying that it was a desperate bid to discredit the party and score cheap political points by its detractors.
“Everything is wrong with the document. Edo PDP believes the forged document surfaced when the ACN got wind of the fact that the PDP was in possession of an agreement document between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Oshiomhole which she planned to make public”.

”First the letterhead on which the mischievous agreement was drawn is very unprofessionally made and is not the official letterhead of Chief Tony Anenih’s. ‘Eben’ and ‘Ada’, the symEdo State PDP disregard fake document in circulations used as logo on it are used by the Benins of Edo State. The agreement started in the third-person singular, and ended in the first-person singular. Pages 1 & 2 of the document are two separate letterheads. The fake agreement was not witnessed by anybody but the contractual parties alone”.

“The signatures and handwriting are not those of Chief Anenih’s and Gen. Arhiavbere’s and the address at the bottom of the paper is not of any known residence of Chief Tony Anenih. The originators should have done their home works before insulting the intelligence of Edo people with their hasty and ill-calculated supposed counterpoint”.

“Chief Tony Anenih and Gen. Charles Airhiavbere are two sophisticated people. The one, a very experienced administrator and the other, a decorated military general. An agreement between such imposing figures should have a modicum of professionalism as it will be drawn up by the best brain that money can buy, to say the least”, he said.

Urhoghide insisted that Edo PDP will not give the document any undeserved importance by outlining here the numerous errors and falsehood contained therein, adding that anybody in possession of the document would see, at once, that it was forged and was not and cannot be a prized agreement betwixt the personas mentioned therein.

Governor Oshiomhole and ACN mischief-makers must employ more ingenuity if they are to be believed. To circulate an agreement document written in bad English and poorly presented is to manifest a desperation that the State can do without at this time in our history.

Edo PDP, this circulation notwithstanding, will publish the agreement document of the ACN as soon as independent verification of it is concluded. Our party is determined to stand by the truth at all times no matter who may be hurt in the process.
