Gov. Oshiomole Supported By The Muslim Women. BENIN CITY – Muslim Women from Edo North Senatorial district under The auspices of Edo North Muslim Women Association have been urged to be more cohesive and focused in their determination to re-elect Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for a second term in office come July 14, 2012.


The remarks were expressed yesterday by Hon. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Ativie, a member representing Uhunmwode constituency at The Edo State House of Assembly when she received members of The Edo North Muslim Women Association in a courtesy visit to The office of The lawmaker.


According to The lawmaker, The need to have an awareness forum that will enlighten all The supporters of ACN ahead of The July 14, 2012 gubernatorial election, eventually ensuring that votes are duely cast and properly under The symGov. Oshiomole Supported By The Muslim Women of The ACN logo thereby eliminating void votes was imperative.


Hon Ativie stated that The ACN will be organising a forum that will attract different interest groups, individuals, civil society groups and all supporters of ACN to sensitize and enlighten them on how to properly cast their vote that will return The comrade governor for The continuity of his lofty developmental programmes for The state.


Earlier in an address The secretary of Edo North Muslim Women Association, Mrs. Unugor Hauwa stated that The group was at The office of The lawmaker to express their readiness to partner with The Edo Women Voters for Oshiomhole, a group already under The guidance of Hon. E. Ativie; in order to mobilise Edo Women massively for The re-election of The comrade governor.


The spokesperson of The group continued by stating that it frowned at The politics of violence and ethnicity being practiced in The state and appealed to politicians to shun The practice.
